Meet the Teacher

Stephanie Gee (STE-fuh-nee JEE) was born and raised in San Antonio, is a graduate of Clark High School and earned her music degree at Trinity University. She has studied under flutists Dr. Richard Kole and Mr. Tallon Perkes, and under several patient piano teachers including a short but fun stint with jazz pianist Nobuko Utterback.

After graduating from Trinity, Stephanie maintained a private lessons studio and devoted part of her time to First Chinese Baptist Church, where she served as the youth ministries director. She played keyboard and flute for their worship teams from middle school through college. After college, Stephanie taught for a short time at San Antonio Christian Schools as the High School Marching and Middle School Band Director. She was thrilled to help her students excel in their musical abilities to glorify God.

After getting married and moving to the Houston area, Stephanie continued to teach privately. In recent years, she has taken training classes under Kathy Blocki and began using the Kinderfluteâ„¢ teaching methods. She's excited about how this program will inspire her students to become great musicians!

Finally, after more than a decade in the Houston area, Stephanie moved back to San Antonio with her family of five, including her husband, son, and twin daughters. There isn't much of it, but when she has free time Stephanie is an audio book listener, sourdough bagel baker, sock knitter, vegetable gardener and amateur photographer.
