Private Lessons for Flute and Piano
Meet Ms. Stephanie
Stephanie Gee was born and raised in San Antonio, and is a graduate of Trinity University with a B.A. in Music.
She has studied under flutists Dr. Richard Kole and Mr. Tallon Perkes, and under several patient piano teachers including Nobuko Utterback.
After graduating from Trinity, in addition to teaching private lessons, Stephanie devoted part of her time to First Chinese Baptist Church, where she worked with around 40 great 6th to 12th graders each week serving on staff as youth ministries director. Stephanie played keyboard and sometimes flute for their worship services for thirteen years, until she moved to the Houston area. She continues to work at FCBC via telecommunication as the online communications coordinator.
In 2010, Stephanie accepted a job at San Antonio Christian Schools as the High School Marching and Middle School Band Director. She was thrilled to be able to teach her students how to excel at their musical abilities for the purpose of glorifying God.
In the summer of 2017, Stephanie began training to become a Kinderflute™ certified teacher. She's excited for how this amazing new program will inspire her students to be great musicians!
In her free time, Stephanie is a book reader, sometimes baker, sock knitter, balcony gardener and amateur photographer. Stephanie has lived in the Sugar Land / Houston area with her husband since 2012, with the most recent addition to the family in 2018, their son, Jacob.
